Abstract
Vacuum extraction is being used extensively in the conditions threatening the mother or child that is likely to be relieved by delivery. But fetal damage such as scalp laceration, cephalhematoma, intracranial hemorrhage and fetal loss is distressing problems.
We have recently experienced a case of vacuum extraction followed by intracranial hemorrhage and subsequent neonatal death.
We report this case with a brief review of literature.
